Bleu Chic Boutique & Project Preemie
The Bleu Chic Boutique and Project Preemie
Having a premature baby can happen to anyone. It can happen to you or someone you know and it can be very isolating and confusing. After it happens, the way of life as you know it changes instantly.
In the spring of 2017, my friend and co-worker Pamela Neroni Frasco established the non-profit organization Project Preemie. The goal: to lessen the burden on preemie families, to offer resources for family and friends supporting them, and to recognize the medical teams that care for them... so more space can be opened to celebrate each family's tiny miracle.
Pam and I have a lot in common. We both work in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, she for the Cleveland Monsters and I for the Cleveland Cavaliers. She's the momma of two beautiful little boys, who happened to be born prematurely and have extended stays in a local NICU. I am the momma to three little boys who all happened to be born early as well and similarly spent quite a bit of time in our local NICU.
Pam has a lot of wonderful things in the works and I'm so happy to be able to help her cause. One of the things I'm proud to assist with is the creation and donation of unique preemie onesies. The design below is the first of many to come and we can't wait to bring smiles to the faces of NICU parents walking in the very same shoes we've walked in.
While the journey at times feels like it will never end, if there's anything I learned when my babies were in the NICU, IT TAKES BABY STEPS.
